Welcome to our First Look Page

The first look is a new trend in weddings. It is when the Bride and Groom see each other for the first time on the wedding day. This is usually set up a couple of hours before the ceremony in a private place close to the Ceremony location, where only the Bride, the Groom and the Photographers are present.

The whole idea is to let the newlyweds to have a moment of privacy for themselves before the Ceremony. This may not be a traditional thing, but it allows the couple to express their love for each other and relax a little from all the natural nervousness that comes with getting married.

First-look wedding photos are becoming very popular. This trend is not new, I did my first look session about 10 years ago. Now days most of my couples ask me do it. It’s still entirely up to you whether or not you want to uphold the tradition of the groom not seeing the bride until the ceremony.

Let's talk about Pros and Cons

The moment the groom and bride see each other on the wedding day is something that 100% of my couples want me to capture. Either during the ceremony or on the first look, it is a moment that can’t be missed by a photographer. The difference and advantage of the first look is that they both are alone and they can express each other as they want. Couples instantly feel great. The result is great smiles and expressions. After a few minutes, I let the couple talk to each other and relax.

After which the family can be invited to go over the formal shots. This in turn saves lots after the ceremony for the couple to join their family and friends at the reception, and not having to stend the time with the photographer.

If you are a couple that like to keep traditions, and not brake them, the First Look might not be for you. I respect that.
